One-to-One Dog Training in Kent
Living with a dog can be rewarding, but it isn’t always straightforward.
Difficulties such as pulling on the lead, unreliable recall, fear or overexcitement around people and other dogs can make everyday situations feel incredibly challenging.
Whether you are raising a puppy, navigating adolescence, or addressing established behaviour patterns, it is not always clear where to begin. We offer tailored behavioural consultations designed to support you and your dog with any challenges you may be facing. Led by Dr Rebecca Hassall, our approach combines in-depth scientific knowledge with practical, real-world training to identify and resolve the underlying causes of unwanted behaviours—not just the symptoms.
Every plan is carefully personalised to suit your dog, your lifestyle, and your goals, ensuring realistic and lasting results. Whether you're dealing with early puppy challenges or more complex behavioural concerns, you can feel confident in receiving expert guidance alongside compassionate, ongoing support throughout your journey.

Pathfinder Sessions are a 1-hour initial consultation to help me understand your dog, discuss your goals and challenges, and determine the best next steps. Sessions may also include practical training steps and “behaviour first aid” guidance where appropriate before moving into a tailored training or behaviour programme.
Cost: £35 — fully refundable if you go on to book a behavioural consultation package.
Standard Consultation
One-to-one consultation sessions are a great way to help deal with common problem behaviours, or an alternative to group classes for dogs who aren't ready for training around other dogs or people; offering a calmer, more focused learning environment to address a range of common behaviours, including;
toilet training
chewing and biting
impulse control
reliable recall (coming when called)
walking calmly on a lead
responding consistently to cues/commands
managing overexcitement around people and other dogs
How It Works
Dr Rebecca can meet you in your home or at a location of your choice, at a time that suits you, so you and your dog can learn in a setting where you both feel comfortable. Sessions are practical, fun, and effective. We encourage family involvement to ensure everyone is confident and consistent. You will also receive useful training manuals and videos to refer back to what you have learnt at any time.
Standard consults cost £85 per hour or £185 for 3 sessions
Discounts are available for low-income households. Travel is included within Deal, Dover and Sandwich with a charge of 45p per mile for locations outside this area.
Behavioural Consultation
If you’re dealing with a more complex issue, behaviour consultation offers a deeper, more tailored approach, as well as consistent guidance and support needed to achieve long-term change. Led by Dr Rebecca Hassall, we assess not just the behaviour itself, but the underlying causes driving it. We support a wide range of challenges, including;
separation issues
barking
destructive and compulsive behaviours
reactivity
aggression
phobias
How It Works
Dr Rebecca will begin with an in-depth consultation, usually carried out in your home, where we take the time to fully understand your dog, their history, environment, and the challenges you’re facing. This allows us to build a complete picture of what’s going on.
Following this, we create a detailed, personalised behaviour plan tailored to your dog and your lifestyle, designed to manage and improve the issue in a realistic and achievable way.
We then guide you through the plan step by step and recommend support to ensure you feel confident putting your plan into practice, and you’re never left to navigate things alone.
